Turkmenistan and Georgia discussed the development of cooperation in the field of education

On September 11, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov held a meeting with the Rector of Sukhumi State University Tea Jugeli.
The Turkmen side noted the importance of continuing the traditionally close cooperation between the Embassy of Turkmenistan and the university, emphasizing the rich experience of successful joint initiatives in the educational, scientific and cultural spheres.
The parties touched upon the issues of preparing and signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldi Kakayev and Sukhumi State University, as well as bilateral visits at the level of university rectors. This will help strengthen bilateral cooperation between universities and academic circles of the two countries.
The Georgian side expressed its readiness to actively support initiatives to develop joint academic and cultural projects and strengthen partnership between the two countries.
