Embassy of Korea has announced the start of applications for the government scholarship program for higher education

The Institute of International Education under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea has announced the start of applications for the government scholarship program (GKS) for higher education. Within this program, two spots have been allocated for Turkmen citizens to apply for the bachelor’s degree program through the embassy. This was reported on the embassy’s social media channels.
Key points for applicants
Quota: Two spots are available — one under the main GKS program and one under the regional R-GKS program.
Application period: Applications are accepted strictly online from September 15 to 30, 2025 (Korean time, GMT+9) via the official website www.studyinkorea.go.kr.
Selection process: The selection consists of two stages. The results of the first stage will be announced after October 10, followed by individual interviews for shortlisted candidates.
