Award Ceremony for the “For Love of the Motherland” Medals Held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On September 20, a solemn ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to award employees of the national diplomatic service with the “For Love of the Motherland” medals.

Addressing the participants of the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, emphasized the significance of the events taking place in Turkmenistan on the eve of the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence.

Special attention was given to the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, held the previous day in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The meeting’s agenda included pressing issues of national life and the socio-economic development of the regions and the capital.

The importance of the successful implementation of the country’s foreign policy was also highlighted during the meeting. In this context, Meredov noted that the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan faces important tasks, as reflected in Turkmenistan’s Priority Positions for the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Meredov then read the Presidential Decree of Turkmenistan on awarding state honors in celebration of the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence and ceremoniously presented the “For Love of the Motherland” medals to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
