Turkmenistan and China Discussed Implementation of Joint Projects in Innovation and High Technologies

On September 22, a meeting took place in Ashgabat between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Gurbanov, and Deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of Hangzhou City, Xu Qingshan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of the Turkmen-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership. Special attention was given to the development of regional cooperation.
The interlocutors explored ways to expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as prospects for joint projects in the fields of innovation, artificial intelligence, and high technologies, including "smart city" initiatives and innovative solutions for urban infrastructure.
One of the key topics of discussion was the development of scientific and educational ties. The Turkmen side proposed establishing cooperation between Hangzhou Dianzi University and leading universities of Turkmenistan.
