Reception Held in Qatar to Mark the 34th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence

On September 30, a ceremonial reception dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was held at the Sheraton Grand Doha Hotel in Doha. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Qatar.

In his speech, Turkmen Ambassador Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov highlighted the country’s achievements since gaining Independence and emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan’s international cooperation. He particularly noted that, at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, a resolution entitled “2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust” was unanimously adopted at Turkmenistan’s initiative, with 86 countries acting as co-sponsors. This reflects the international community’s recognition of Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy.

The event featured a video presentation, performances of Turkmen folk songs, and a tasting of national dishes offered to the guests.
