New Directions of International Cooperation in Turkmenistan: 

Meeting with the Malaysian Delegation at the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University Between October 10–12, 2025, the international exhibition and scientific conference entitled “Healthcare, Education, and Sports — During the Revival of the New Era of the Revival of the Stable State” was successfully held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. This large-scale international event brought together numerous experts, scholars, and specialists from various countries around the world.

Within the framework of these events, a meeting of great importance was held at the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan. The meeting brought together representatives of Turkmenistan and a Malaysian delegation led by Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, the Political Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

During the discussions, the parties addressed issues related to education, innovation, digital technologies, the training of young engineers, and the strengthening of cooperation between higher education institutions. Both sides exchanged views on the implementation of new joint projects in the field of higher education, as well as on establishing student and faculty exchange programs.

The Malaysian delegation particularly emphasized the strong interest of Turkmen youth in high technologies, digital solutions, and creative engineering ideas. 

In his remarks, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin highlighted that the friendly relations between the two nations are developing in all spheres, and that bilateral cooperation in education is reaching a new level. On the Turkmen side, the Rector of the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan delivered a speech noting that the country is actively developing an innovative education system and undertaking extensive work to train highly qualified specialists suited to the needs of the digital economy. The meeting played a significant role in opening new avenues for bilateral cooperation, exchanging experience, and strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
