A Lecture by a Foreign Professor

As part of the international exhibition and conference “Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the New Era of the Revival of a Powerful State”, the International University for the Humanities and Development hosted an educational lecture by Dr. Govind Desai, a professor at the Leicester University, on the topic of “Digitalization of English Language Teaching”. Students and faculty from the international university attended the lecture.
As Dr. Govind Desai emphasized, digitalization has become a key trend in modern education, radically transforming methods and approaches to teaching foreign languages, particularly English. The integration of digital technologies offers vast opportunities for increasing efficiency, individualization, and motivation in language learning, while simultaneously posing new challenges for teachers and students. The use of digital resources in English language teaching brings significant benefits, including: individualization of learning, increased motivation, access to authentic materials, development of communication skills, and automated feedback. The lecture also touched on the technologies actively used in English language teaching. In conclusion, it was stated that the digitalization of English language teaching is not simply a change in tools, but a fundamental transformation of the educational paradigm. The effective use of digital technologies combined with proven pedagogical approaches allows for the creation of a flexible, motivating, and individualized environment that prepares students for successful communication in the global digital world.
