THE STUDY GUIDE "HEART DISEASES IN CHILDREN" FOR HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

In our country, concern for human health is one of the most prioritized issues, and during the Revival era of the new epoch of the Powerful State, extensive work is being implemented to strengthen and protect the health of every citizen and to improve the condition of the population.

The "Health" State Program, developed under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, our Hero Arkadag, serves as the foundation for developing our country's healthcare system. The successes achieved in the health, education, and science systems under the leadership of our esteemed President, the Arkadagly Hero-Serdar, testify to their conformity with world standards.

Damage to the cardiovascular system holds a special place among general childhood diseases. Many cardiovascular diseases identified in adults begin in childhood. This can be observed by reading the recently published study guide "Heart Diseases in Children" for higher educational institutions (authors: T.Saryyeva, Y.Yawan, O.Annaberdiyeva — Turkmen State Publishing Service, 2025). This study guide provides valuable information across 6 chapters on non-rheumatic myocarditis, congenital heart defects, myocardial dystrophies, cardiomyopathies, heart failure in children, and rheumatic fever in children, along with a bibliography of referenced literature.

The functional capabilities of the heart in children are assessed, similar to adults, based on data from auscultation, cardio- and echography, ultrasound, and other clinical-laboratory examinations. Advances in the diagnosis of cardiovascular system diseases are linked to the introduction of ultrasound examinations, continuous monitoring systems, the refinement of electrophysiological study methods, and others. Extensive information on these topics is provided.

This study guide is dedicated to issues of diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up care for heart diseases in children. Although the study guide is intended for students of higher educational institutions, it can also be used by students of relevant specialized secondary schools and professionals working in this field.
