A GREAT FUTURE IS BUILT THROUGH EDUCATION

Based on the outcomes of the historic address by the President of Turkmenistan at the plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, and to mark the 30th anniversary of our Permanent Neutrality, as well as with the aim of enhancing the work of scientific circles at the faculties of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, a "round table" recording was held at the Dovletmammet Azadi Arkadag City Library, organized by the "Arkadag" TV channel with the participation of teachers, students, and staff of the University's Scientific Library. This recording discussed the work carried out under the wise leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, our Hero Arkadag, and our esteemed President, the Hero-Serdar, concerning the promotion of international peace and cooperation.

A glorious future begins with educated youth. Our Arkadagly Hero-Serdar states in his book "Youth is the Pillar of the Motherland.": A great future is built through education. That is precisely why we consider the improvement and development of the education system as a priority direction of state policy in Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan. To achieve the goals we have set in the education system, we are activating relations of cooperation with developed countries of the world, leading scientific-educational centers, major reputable international organizations, and their relevant structures within the framework of comprehensively improving this system.

The relations between the Scientific Library of Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the Dovletmammet Azadi Arkadag City Library are continuously strengthening. In our country, which holds science and knowledge in high esteem, regular instructive talks promoting love for science, knowledge, and books are held, and meetings with youth and literary evenings are organized. There is active participation in various events held here, and mutual exchange of ideas and experiences takes place. This itself always contributes significantly to the improvement and advancement of work.

In another recent recording made by the "Arkadag" TV channel at the Dovletmammet Azadi Arkadag City Library, the First Category Librarian of our university, Gultach Sapardurdyyeva, delivered a speech about the organization of work in the university library to fulfill tasks arising from the "State Program for the Development of the Library System of Turkmenistan for 2025-2029," adopted based on the results of the President of Turkmenistan's historic address at the plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and with the aim of advancing library work. Every day of the Year of International Peace and Trust is inscribed into the golden pages of our history with glorious dates and important political events.

A broad path has been opened for gaining peace and trust in the international arena, establishing diplomatic relations, and promoting the Turkmen state, Turkmen identity, its art, literature, music, and history to the world under the shadow of our sacred Independence and eternal Neutrality. Our esteemed President stated in his address at the plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly: "Ensuring international peace and security remains the main direction of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the UN. Understanding its responsibility as a permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan is ready to further implement specific measures aimed at creating a dialogue based on mutual respect as a fundamental and decisive condition for ensuring cooperation, mutual understanding, and stable development at both the universal and regional levels."

The recognition of our country in the international community as a region advocating for peace and humanity speaks of its rise to high levels due to its developments, its educated, knowledgeable youth, and its people who value culture and art. In our librarian's speech, the contributions of library work were also discussed. She mentioned the work carried out by our university's scientific library, the literary meetings it organizes, the scientific-practical conferences, exhibitions, scientific competitions, and the "Space of Intellect" quizzes held based on books. Our Hero Arkadag says: "Reading books to comprehend the truth and following profound thoughts unites all people. Because the heart of a person who reads becomes filled with compassion and love, and their soul with humanism." Inspired by the words of our Hero Arkadag, we, as library staff, are carrying out several tasks to increase young people's love for books. In the lines about libraries by Gurbannazar Ezizov, the unyielding pillar of our literature, come to mind: "Do not forget to visit libraries, for your thoughts to become sharper and more perfect."

We express our deep gratitude to our esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero-Serdar, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, our Hero Arkadag, for creating such great opportunities for youth to read and learn. May they be well, may their work, beneficial for the people and significant for all humanity, always be met with prosperity!
