President of Turkmenistan meets chairman of Korean company “Daewoo”

On October 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Mr. Jung Won-ju, Chairman of the Board of the Korean company "Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd".

Expressing gratitude to the head of state for the opportunity to hold the meeting, the businessman noted that it was a great honor for him to take part in the foundation-laying ceremony of the mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant.

Thanking the guest for his kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that he highly values the relations established between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea.

At present, the chemical industry of the country is one of the steadily developing sectors, said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, stressing that the main development strategy of this segment is the production of goods for national industries and export-oriented products through the use of local raw materials.

The head of state also noted that large-scale work is being carried out in the country to modernize and diversify the economy, and major industrial projects are being implemented under national programs.

As the businessman emphasized, it is a great honor for the company he leads to contribute to the implementation of Turkmenistan’s socio-economic programs. In this regard, the guest expressed his gratitude to the head of state for the favorable conditions created for the fruitful activities of "Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd" in the Turkmen market.
