Presentations of Volume 17 of the book “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan” and the book “Achievements in Healthcare”

The International University of Humanities and Development hosted the presentations of Volume 17 of the book “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan” and the book “Achievements in Healthcare” by Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

The event was attended by the university’s administration, faculty, and students.

The new, seventeenth volume of the Hero Arkadag scientific encyclopedia continues the series introducing readers to Turkmenistan’s rich natural resources and medicinal plants used in medical practice. The publication traditionally consists of two sections – “Characteristics of Medicinal Plants” and “Instructions for Use” – and includes detailed information on various plant species with high medicinal properties.

The publication examines in detail the properties of medicinal herbs and fruits, including rare endemic species, and describes methods for collecting, storing, and preparing medicinal infusions. A special place is given to a systematic dictionary of plant names, making the work an indispensable source of knowledge for specialists and researchers.

The new volume of Hero Arkadag’s book reflects the continuity of Eastern medicine and Turkmen traditional herbal medicine, carefully preserved and passed down from generation to generation.

The presentation also included the book “Achievements in the Healthcare” dedicated to advances in medicine in the country. This underscores the importance of developing the healthcare system and scientific progress in Turkmenistan.
