National Leader of the Turkmen People blessed the implementation of the next stage of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline

On October 20, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, inspected the progress of construction in Afghanistan of the Serhetabat-Herat section, known as "Arkadagyň ak ýoly," which is part of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project.
Hero Arkadag arrived in the Afghan province of Rabat-Sangi, to the construction site of the Serhetabat-Herat section of the gas pipeline. There, the National Leader of the Turkmen People was warmly welcomed by members of the official delegations of our country and Afghanistan.
A ceremonial meeting followed. In his speech, Hero Arkadag emphasized that, under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar , ambitious projects are being successfully implemented, contributing to the expansion of friendly and good-neighborly relations.
It was noted that large-scale measures are being taken to increase Turkmen natural gas production and ensure its reliable supply to foreign markets. This is fully demonstrated by the work carried out by the State Concern "Türkmengaz" to build new gas pipelines of international significance.
As Hero Arkadag noted, a solid material and technical base has been established for the implementation of the aforementioned project: this process is supported by more than 200 units of modern and powerful equipment. Afghan citizens will also be involved in the project, and its full implementation will create new jobs for the Afghan people. Furthermore, an average of over $1 billion in annual funds will flow to Afghanistan. All this will have a positive impact not only on Turkmen-Afghan relations but also on the region as a whole.
Hero Arkadag then blessed the implementation of the next stage of a key link in the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project to the Afghan province of Herat – the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline, known as "Arkadagyň ak ýoly."
Hero Arkadag's visit to Afghanistan demonstrated Turkmenistan's commitment to developing good-neighborly relations in the region. Currently, Turkmen-Afghan relations are a shining example of mutually beneficial cooperation that not only meets the interests of the friendly peoples of the two countries but also makes a significant contribution to strengthening the region's sustainable development.
