International Turkmen Alabay Competition to Be Held in Ashgabat on October 26

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree ordering that, on the occasion of Turkmen Alabay Day, an international competition titled “Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy” (“The Year’s Turkmen Champion Alabay”) be held on October 26, 2025, in the city of Ashgabat.

As part of the celebrations, contests will also be held among carpet weavers, artists, sculptors, photographers, publishing workers, and television operators. These contests will focus on the artistic depiction of the appearance of Turkmen Alabays in works of fine and decorative-applied arts, publishing products, photographs, and on TV channels.

The event is organized to further enhance the global fame of the exemplary Turkmen Alabay- a national treasure and a source of pride for the Turkmen people.
