President of Turkmenistan congratulated the UN Secretary-General

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the UN.

"Over the past eighty years, the UN has become a key center for uniting efforts aimed at ensuring peace, security, and sustainable development. The important documents adopted by the Organization and the initiatives implemented form a solid foundation for modern international relations," the head of state noted.

One of the priority areas of Turkmenistan's foreign policy is long-term cooperation with the United Nations in areas such as peace and security, energy, transport and communications, the environment, and sustainable development. The head of state noted that Turkmenistan will continue to develop and strengthen multifaceted cooperation with the United Nations.

The President of Turkmenistan wished António Guterres good health, happiness, and prosperity, and conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes for continued success to the staff of the UN Secretariat.
