At a Cabinet meeting on October 31, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov reported on the results of work carried out from January to October of this year to increase oil and gas production volumes and expand export routes to world markets.
According to the report, the State Concern "Turkmennebit" achieved 109.3 percent of its oil production plan. Over the same period, the plan for oil refining at the country’s refineries was fulfilled at 108.6 percent.
Production targets were met as follows: 107.5 percent for gasoline, 100.7 percent for diesel fuel, and 101.8 percent for natural and associated gas extraction.
Amanov also reported on the technical and economic indicators for the production of polypropylene, lubricating oils, liquefied gas, and the export of natural gas abroad.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of efficiently utilizing the country’s existing oil and gas production capacities and of continuing efforts to increase oil and gas output. The head of state also instructed the deputy prime minister to keep geological exploration and drilling operations under strict control.
