President of Turkmenistan congratulates workers of the country’s construction and industrial complex on their professional holiday

On November 3, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow congratulated workers of the construction and industrial complex on their professional holiday.

"At present, in accordance with our economic strategy aimed at developing the country’s economy through diversification, colossal progress is being achieved in all its sectors. Turkmenistan is confidently taking its place among the industrially developed countries of the world.

Workers of the construction and industrial complex, along with representatives of other sectors, make a worthy contribution to the large-scale reforms being carried out in our country and to the grand achievements being attained.

In the new historical era, the construction and industrial complex has become one of the priority segments of the national economy. Its key sectors—industrial, construction, chemical, energy, as well as road construction—are developing at a high pace," the head of state noted.

"Electric power also plays an important role in the development of the national economy. The dynamic development of this key sector lays the most important foundations for forming a new industrial-innovative profile for our country, increasing its economic potential, and improving the welfare of the people.

Today, our sovereign homeland has become one of the leading energy powers not only in the region but also in the world. Currently, as part of the large-scale reforms being implemented in this sector, work is underway to ensure reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply to domestic consumers, diversify Turkmen electricity exports to foreign countries, create new energy capacities, improve the technical condition of distribution networks, and establish a looped connection of the existing unified national energy system," the president emphasized.

The head of state wished workers of the construction and industrial complex good health, happiness, prosperity, and great success in their work.
