In the Revival era of the new epoch of the Powerful State, our people live in a period of rapid development of science and education, a time when special attention is paid to books. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, rightly noted in his book "The Continuation of the Meaning of My Life": "A book is an eternal value, the significance of which never fades. Books are a priceless heritage that connects the past with the future, peoples and hearts. To develop and improve the book, to deliver it to readers, to offer new and convenient ways of reading and studying—that is, to pay great attention to the role of the book in moving society forward—is an important task." These wise words emphasize that the book serves as a bridge between generations and cultures, inspiring creativity and knowledge.
Libraries play a key role in shaping a healthy mindset and a high level of development in the younger generation. In this regard, guided by the call of Hero Arkadag: "We must form a society of reading people!", an introductory tour of the library departments and a conversation titled "A Journey into the World of Books" were held at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory library, in collaboration with the State Library of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by master teachers and students of the conservatory, which made it possible to combine the educational process with cultural enrichment.
The Art Department of the State Library was of particular interest to the students. Its collection includes books on art, periodicals, sheet music, and audiovisual materials. Furthermore, it houses a rich collection of musical scores by Turkmen and foreign composers, as well as reference publications on all forms of art. The department organizes thematic and calendar-based book exhibitions dedicated to the achievements of Turkmen and world art. The "In the World of Art" project provides readers with access to extensive information about outstanding figures of art from Turkmenistan and other countries—artists, composers, film actors and directors, theater artists, and hosts of TV and radio programs. Moreover, the exhibitions and reference materials made a great impression on the students, opening new creative horizons for them.
Another feature of the service is the presence of a phonotek (audio library) of audiovisual publications, where readers can listen to musical works individually or in a group. The students listened with great pleasure to the works of Turkmen composers and received answers to their questions, which strengthened their interest in the cultural heritage. During the conversation, the participants also noted the importance of the wise words of the esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar: "Reading is a blessing, writing is strength, creativity is wealth; reading many books, especially good ones, and rereading them develops a person's creative thinking." Thus, the event not only introduced the library's resources but also inspired a deep immersion into the world of knowledge.
In conclusion, I wish health and longevity to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and the esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar. May their noble endeavors always lead to prosperity and success, inspiring our nation toward new achievements!
