The Chinese province of Shaanxi and Turkmenistan signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the Luban workshop.
The project is aimed at strengthening educational ties between the two countries and training highly qualified personnel for the economy of Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the agreement, the Yagshigelda Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, Xi'an Shiyu University, Hebei Petroleum Technological University, the Chinese Association for International Exchange Education and CNPC will open a workshop in Turkmenistan.
The workshop will focus on formal and non-academic education in the field of geological exploration and information technology. Mutual visits of teachers and students, scientific research and information exchange are planned.
This will be the first Luban workshop in the world offering Master's, bachelor's and vocational education. The project is supported by the Ministry of Education of China and is aimed at integrating education with production, as well as training personnel familiar with Chinese technologies.
