Turkmenistan and Iran Discuss Development of Interregional Cooperation

On November 5, a meeting took place in Ashgabat between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov and Governor of North Khorasan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran Bahman Nouri.

During the talks, the sides expressed mutual interest in enhancing interregional cooperation, including within the framework of the previously signed Memorandum of Understanding between Turkmenistan’s Ahal Province and Iran’s North Khorasan Province.

The parties discussed in detail the development and expansion of cooperation between Ahal Province of Turkmenistan and North Khorasan Province of Iran in the trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. In this regard, proposals were put forward aimed at expanding interaction in promising and mutually beneficial areas.
