President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting on the agricultural sector

On November 10, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atakhalliyev and regional governors. The agenda included issues related to the development of the agricultural sector and the progress of work in the country's regions.

Toyguly Nurmyradov, Governor of the Ahal Region, reported that the cotton harvest is currently proceeding without losses, and necessary measures are being taken to ensure agricultural machinery operates at full capacity. Plowing is also underway in areas designated for next year's cotton planting.

Khojamyrat Ashyrmyradov, Governor of the Balkan Region, then reported on the state of affairs in the region. The region's farmers have successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations to deliver the "white gold," and the harvest of the remaining crop is currently underway. Raw cotton is being delivered to receiving stations without interruption. Plowing is underway to prepare the fields for next year's cotton planting. Wheat fields in the velayat are being irrigated to ensure germination.

Furthermore, the governor of the Dashoguz velayat, Dovletgeldi Babayev, informed the President of Turkmenistan of the successful fulfillment of contractual obligations by the velayat's farmers to deliver the rice harvest to the Motherland's kharman.

Furthermore, he reported that necessary measures are currently being taken to ensure the cotton harvest is harvested without losses. Particular attention is being paid to ensuring that agricultural machinery operates at full capacity and that receiving stations operate smoothly. Furthermore, cotton fields are being plowing. Wheat sowing in the velayat has been completed, and uniform germination has been achieved in the sown fields.

Then, Durdy Gendzhiev, Governor of the Lebap Region, reported on the progress of the seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region. As noted, the region's cotton fields are being harvested without losses. Raw cotton is continuously arriving at receiving stations and ginning plants. Furthermore, plowing has begun in preparation for the 2026 sowing season. Rice harvesting and delivery to the Motherland's kharman (harman) continue without losses.

Then, Dovranberdi Annaberdiev, Governor of the Mary Region, reported that the cotton harvest is currently underway, down to the last boll. Particular attention is being paid to the efficient use of seasonal combines and other equipment. Furthermore, plowing is underway in the region to prepare the land for cotton planting for next year's harvest. Sugar beet harvesting is also underway in the region.

The regional governors also reported on the progress of construction work at socio-cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Atakhalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country. It was reported that the cotton harvest is currently underway in the regions, down to the last boll. At the same time, plowing is underway in areas designated for next year's cotton planting. Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the role of the agricultural sector in the country's economy, noting that scientifically based approaches and strict adherence to agricultural standards in production enable a bountiful harvest of crops, and he gave the Deputy Prime Minister specific instructions in this regard.

Noting the need to pay special attention to fully preparing cotton fields for the 2026 sowing season in the regions, the President ordered that land be plowing be carried out in accordance with agricultural deadlines and requirements, that the rice harvest be harvested without losses as quickly as possible in the Lebap region, and that sugar beet harvesting be commenced in the Mary region.

Focusing on the approaching winter season, the head of state ordered the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in the regions and strict oversight of the construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities.
