On November 11 in Ashgabat, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with Deputy Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Central Asia, Jamileh Hammami.
Noting the constructive nature of the cooperation, the parties reviewed the progress in implementing the Cooperation Plan between the Government of Turkmenistan and the ICRC for 2025. The discussion covered activities outlined in the document, including programs aimed at promoting international humanitarian law, supporting socially vulnerable groups, and strengthening the activities of the National Society of the Red Crescent of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan consistently provides humanitarian assistance to countries affected by emergencies and crises. In this context, the country’s regular support to neighboring Afghanistan was highlighted, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid to populations in other countries through the Gurban-guly Berdymukhammedov Charity Fund for Children in Need of Care.
