The world-class mathematics competition was held in Katowice, a major educational center in the Republic of Poland, from November 6–10. The large-scale Olympiad was organized by the University of Silesia in Katowice and brought together talented young mathematics students from several universities.
The competition provided a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills at an international level, attracting over 150 countries’ students from Turkmenistan, Poland, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, and France. Competitors tackled complex scientific problems in areas including mathematical analysis, algebra, combinatorics, geometry, probability theory, and differential equations. Turkmen students demonstrated a high level of preparation, winning a total of 20 individual medals and 4 team prizes. Turkmen students demonstrated a high level of preparation, securing 20 individual medals (9 gold, 8 silver, 2 bronze, 1 consolation) and in the team competition (2 silver, 1 bronze, 1 consolation).
The Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, a leading higher educational institution, was at the forefront of the Olympiad's achievements. Its students were highly successful: Dovran Muradov was awarded the gold medal, Dovletgeldi Shakirjanov the silver medal, and Gulowser Gylychmammedov the bronze medal. In the team competition, the "Ashgabat" team—consisting of students from the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University and the Ya. Kakayev International Oil and Gas University—won the silver medal. These successes demonstrate the students' responsible and rigorous approach to scientific study.
Other higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan also won a significant number of prizes: students of the International University of Humanitarian Sciences and Development won 5 gold medals; Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly won 3 gold and 2 silver medals; the Institute of Energy of Turkmenistan won 3 silver medals; and the Institute of Architecture and Construction of Turkmenistan won 1 gold,the International Oil and Gas University named after Ya. Kakaev won 1 silver and one consolation , the Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov secured bronze prizes.
All these successes are the direct result of the state policy pursued in our country's education system. The victories in Katowice are a clear reflection of the capabilities of our younger generation. Such triumphs not only elevate the students' level of education and skill, but also significantly raise the international prestige of our Motherland.
