From November 12 to 14, the 18th international exhibition and scientific conference “TurkmenTel – 2025” is being held in Ashgabat, along with the international forum and exhibition “International Transport Corridors: Connectivity and Development – 2025.”
The Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Permanent Mission in Turkmenistan, Artur Andrysiak, spoke at the transport forum about the development of cooperation with the country’s public and private sectors.
“ADB is proud of its partnership with Turkmenistan in the field of development. We have been working here for over 25 years and support the implementation of the country’s development programs. The Bank assists Turkmenistan in strengthening regional connectivity, developing infrastructure, and improving key institutions and human resources. Through this cooperation, ADB has invested in the transport and energy sectors, as well as in healthcare,” Andrysiak noted.
According to the representative, ADB is currently continuing work with the Turkmen government to strengthen railway infrastructure and develop human resources. Recently, joint agreements were signed on infrastructure projects, including the construction of a medical college in Ashgabat.
“This project will have a significant impact on the development of the healthcare system and is of great importance to Turkmenistan’s overall development,” Andrysiak emphasized.
The Mission Director also noted that Turkmenistan’s transport corridors occupy a central strategic position, and ADB supports the implementation of projects in this area.
“I am pleased to be part of this important forum. I have been participating in it with great interest for several years. In particular, I want to highlight Turkmenistan’s strategic role in the ‘North-South’ and ‘East-West’ transport corridors. The country actively invests in transport infrastructure, ADB supports this work, and we are ready to continue assisting Turkmenistan in the future,” Andrysiak said.
