On November 14, at a government meeting, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported on the ongoing comprehensive preparations for President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's participation in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Turkmen leader's state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As noted, the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Central Asian heads of state in Tashkent will cover a wide range of areas of interstate partnership, including further strengthening constructive interaction in the region and exchanging views on pressing regional and international issues.
As part of the visit's program, in addition to high-level talks and other relevant events, the opening of a new Turkmen-Uzbek border trade center is planned.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will play an important role in strengthening multilateral cooperation and further expanding friendly and fraternal relations. The head of state instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs to thoroughly prepare for the upcoming state visit to Uzbekistan.
