Effective Working Visit of Professors from Nottingham Trent University of the United Kingdom

On November 10-14, 2025, in the framework of the project “Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia” of the British Council, professors Martin Seviour and Sarah Khan of Nottingham Trent University paid a working visit to Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.

On the first day of the visit, professors of Nottingham Trent University held a seminar for the English teachers of the Institute. During the seminar held with the teachers, the guests discussed about active methods used in teaching English and issues that should be given special attention when teaching English, ways to implement inclusive education, and shared their work experience and demonstrated it in practice.

The guests also met with the fourth-year graduate students of the Institute and demonstrated methods of conducting reading and writing lessons in English, as well as ways to implement inclusive education in the lesson through a practical lesson.

In addition, the guests attended classes of the alumni of the Institute working as teachers in specialized secondary schools #131 and #140 of Ashgabat city, and provided methodological advice on the introduction of inclusive education to schoolchildren. In addition, Nottingham Trent University professors held meetings with the alumni of the Institute working in comprehensive secondary schools of Ashgabat, and demonstrated methods of preparing materials for inclusive education in the classroom. 

During the visit, Nottingham Trent University professors attended classes of the teachers of the Institute and observed teaching methods of the teachers, and provided comments and methodological advice on further improving their professional level. 

In general, this working visit of Nottingham Trent University professors was very fruitful and provided significant methodological assistance in teaching foreign languages.
