President of Turkmenistan arrives on a state visit to Uzbekistan

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived on a state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan on November 16. At Tashkent International Airport, the head of state was warmly welcomed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

After cordially greeting the esteemed Turkmen guest and thanking him for accepting the invitation to visit Uzbekistan, Mirziyoyev noted that the current visit of the President of Turkmenistan would contribute to the further strengthening of the traditionally friendly interstate relations.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took the opportunity to convey to his Uzbek counterpart warm greetings and best wishes from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag.

An official welcoming ceremony for the distinguished guest then took place.
