Fairy tales play an enormous role in developing children’s memory, expanding their vocabulary, and enriching their understanding of the world around them. They bring together fascinating events and help children make sense of life. The fact that every fairy tale ends happily, with the main character achieving their goal, brings joy and positive emotions to young readers.
In our work, we also organize various competitions and discussions on Turkmen folk tales among primary school students, following a special plan. Our young readers who visit the library choose and read the fairy tales that interest them. We conduct question-and-answer discussions based on the stories they have read. This greatly helps children remember each tale more deeply.
At present, the students of our school are preparing for the district stage of the “World of Fairy Tales” competition, announced by the Balkan Provincial Department of Education for students in grades 2–4. Regularly holding such competitions significantly strengthens students’ reading habits.
We express our profound gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and to our esteemed President, Hero Arkadagly Serdar, who devote special attention to books and their value, and who serve as an exemplary model for us in every respect.
