The results of the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Ranking, which evaluates universities based on environmental sustainability, have been announced. This ranking assesses universities worldwide in six categories with a total score of 10,000 points.
This year, 1,745 universities from 105 countries were included in the ranking. Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan earned 7,675 points, successfully placing 306th. The ranking is based on six categories, and the university received the following scores: 1,200 out of 1,500 for setting and infrastructure, 1,575 out of 2,100 for energy and climate change, 1,125 out of 1,800 for waste management, 850 out of 1,000 for water management, 1,437.5 out of 1,800 for sustainable transportation, and 1,487.5 out of 1,800 for education and research.
Universities participating in this ranking are classified into three clusters based on their total points: those scoring up to 5,000 points receive the Bronze cluster, those scoring 5,000 to 7,500 points receive the Silver cluster, and those scoring above 7,500 points are awarded the Gold cluster. It is worth noting that Oguz han Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan earned 7,675 points, placing it in the Gold category.
Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan has been participating in this ranking for four years and has consistently improved its position, placing 637th in 2022, 432nd in 2023, 328th in 2024, and 306th in 2025.
In addition, 12 universities from Turkmenistan took part in the ranking, and Oguz han Engineering and technology university has maintained first place among them for the past three years.
