President of Turkmenistan awarded a State decoration in honor of the 30th anniversary of Neutrality

Taking into account the merits of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan in promoting the principles of international peace and trust, developing preventive diplomacy, and enhancing Turkmenistan’s authority on the world stage, and based on numerous proposals received from representatives of the people and public organizations, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted an honorary resolution on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of our country’s permanent neutrality.
In accordance with Article 81 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan decided to award President Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov the jubilee medal “30 Years of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality” along with a set of commemorative insignia.
In the International Year of Peace and Trust, the policy of good-neighborliness, equality, and international cooperation pursued under the wise leadership of the highly respected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov continues to achieve new successes. The status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan—a state that has earned high international recognition—is acknowledged as an important instrument for promoting the alignment of common interests in international relations.
The significance of our country, which is confidently advancing along the path of development and prosperity, is steadily growing in global politics. Turkmenistan’s initiatives receive broad support from the international community, especially the United Nations. The country’s “open-door policy” and the concept of “Dialogue is the Guarantee of Peace” are noted as important contributions to the development of international relations.
The state-significant activities of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as his considerable personal contribution to strengthening foreign policy and relations with the international community, deserve special recognition. The contribution of Turkmen neutrality to the implementation of political, diplomatic, legal, economic, and cultural-humanitarian initiatives is also highly valued by the public.
