On December 8 in Ashgabat, a meeting took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kaha Imnadze.
The UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative emphasized the significant contribution of our country to advancing the work of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, which was established on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Noting that Turkmenistan promotes a number of initiatives in maintaining peace, utilizing the potential of preventive diplomacy, ensuring energy security, developing transport-transit corridors, and protecting the environment, the Hero-Arkadag expressed satisfaction that all these initiatives consistently receive broad support from the international community.
Continuing the meeting, the Hero-Arkadag highlighted the important role of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in ensuring sustainable development and strengthening good-neighborly and friendly relations in the region.
Expressing sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan for their consistent support of the Centre’s activities, the Head of the UNRCCA expressed confidence in the further strengthening of constructive cooperation with our country, based on the solid experience of many years of fruitful partnership and the considerable potential that exists.
