In honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, the final regional stage of the competition “The World of Books — The World of Knowledge” was held at Specialized Secondary School No. 29 in Dashoguz, bringing together school librarians from across the province. The contest aimed to promote reading among students and enhance the school library system.
Under the wise leadership of the esteemed President, extensive work is carried out in Turkmenistan to study national values and pass them on to future generations. Since ancient times, the Turkmen people have held books in high regard, and respect for reading remains an integral part of the nation’s cultural heritage.
The competition encouraged creativity among librarians, improved their professional skills, promoted modern methods of library work, and highlighted specialists with strong literary talent. Nine librarians, qualified from previous stages, competed in three categories: artistic self-presentation, methods of promoting reading, and in-depth interpretation of the books “Magtymguly — The Sage of the World” by Hero Arkadagly Serdar and “The Jewel of the mind” by Hero Arkadag.
Based on the results, the Grand Prize was awarded to Ogulnur Isaýewa (School No. 8, Dashoguz). First place went to Maýa Gurbandurdyýewa (School No. 7, Boldumsaz), second to Merjen Şamyýewa (School No. 51, Köneürgenç), and third to Aýbibi Ataýewa (School No. 21, Görogly).
