THE BOOK-LOVING YOUTH OF ARKADAG CITY

In order to increase students' interest in reading, popularize the rich literary heritage of the Turkmen people and outstanding works of world literature, broaden the horizons of schoolchildren and develop their creative abilities, the librarians of the Arkadag city school libraries organize various literary events.

In the Revival era of the new epoch of the Powerful State, declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust", in the specialized educational complex No. 1 in the city of Arkadag, a competition "Journey to the world of Books" was held among students in grades 4-6, and an expressive reading competition "I am always in love with beautiful words" by Halla Kuliev was held among schoolchildren in grades 5-7.. In addition, a thematic discussion "On the festive dastarhan of my country" was held, dedicated to the harvest festival.  

A competition for expressive recitation of the poet's poems by heart and a drawing contest "In the world of interesting Fairy tales" were organized at secondary school No. 2 in Arkadag with in-depth study of English for the 85th anniversary of Gurbannazar Ezizov. Teachers and students of the school, together with Arkadag Television, prepared and recorded the program "My national Heritage is a moral treasure."

An expressive reading contest "The pinnacle of knowledge begins from a book" was held at secondary school No. 3 in Arkadag with an in-depth study of English to stimulate reading and strengthen the role of books in the lives of schoolchildren among students in grades 6-8, and an exhibition "The Face of the World opens with a book" was opened in the lobby of the school. To mark Shirindzhemal Geldieva's 90th birthday, a drawing contest was held among grades 7-9, and 12th grade students staged the story "The young girl."

A drawing contest "The World of interesting fairy tales", a recitation of the poem "Heartfelt Inspiration is the Motherland" from the novel by Hero Arkadag "The Bird of Happiness", a contest for expressive reading of excerpts from books by Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly—Hero Serdar, as well as an exhibition dedicated to the work of Nurmyrat Saryhanov were organized at secondary school No. 4 in Arkadag with in-depth study of English. 

Following the results of the events, the winners, whose interest in reading is particularly noteworthy, were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts. These initiatives contribute to the formation of a generation devoted to books and cultural traditions of Turkmenistan.
