From December 2 to 3, students from Turkmenistan – Young Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – successfully participated in the Regional Case Championship “Youth of Central Asia Against Digital Violence”, organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Astana.
The Turkmen delegation included students from the Oguzhan Engineering and Technology University, the International University of Humanities and Development, and the Balkanabat Oil Vocational School. The candidates were selected based on their outstanding academic achievements and commitment to the principles of sustainable development.
The central element of the Championship was the work of mixed teams on a real-life case related to gender-based violence. The Turkmen team demonstrated a high level of innovation by developing an AI-based chatbot. This bot is designed to provide prompt online support to victims of digital discrimination, offering ready-made guidance and connecting users with psychologists, lawyers, and law enforcement agencies. In addition, the national team prepared a draft code of conduct for educational institutions aimed at strengthening prevention measures and digital safety.
