On December 10, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with Hiroyuki Tsubai, head of the Turkmen-Japanese Friendship Group, who was on a visit to our country.
The guest noted that it was a great honor for him to take part in the large-scale celebrations within the framework of his visit to Turkmenistan. He particularly emphasized the significant contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to the development of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in all areas.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty highlighted the substantial contribution of Japanese companies to the realization of the economic potential of the two friendly countries, stressing that major Japanese businesses have for many years successfully implemented projects in Turkmenistan’s gas and chemical industries.
Hero-Arkadag noted that the Japanese company ITOCHU participated in the construction of a gasoline-from-natural-gas plant in Ovadan-Depe, a cement plant in Kelata, and a urea plant in Mary province. This confirms Turkmenistan’s readiness to further expand its well-established and effective partnership.
Expressing gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the favorable conditions created for the efficient work of Japanese companies in Turkmenistan, Hiroyuki Tsubai assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
