On December 12, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The Head of State warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation to take part in the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. As noted, Vladimir Putin’s participation in the forum confirms his support for Turkmenistan’s policy of neutrality.
Sincerely congratulating the Head of State on the successful holding of today’s event, as well as on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the President of the Russian Federation highly praised the foreign policy course pursued by our country.
A special place on the agenda of Turkmen-Russian cooperation is occupied by the development of trade and economic ties. In addition, the cultural and humanitarian sphere is an important component of interstate interaction. In this regard, considerable attention is paid to partnership in the fields of science, education, healthcare, and culture.
In this context, the Head of State reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness for further comprehensive and multifaceted cooperation with the Russian Federation and expressed confidence in the continued development and strengthening of Turkmen-Russian relations for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
