Presidents of Turkmenistan and Turkey noted broad opportunities for the development of constructive cooperation

On December 12, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

“Your participation in this representative forum testifies to your support for Turkmenistan’s policy of neutrality and to the great importance you attach to the principles of peace,” President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.

Expressing gratitude for the hospitality extended, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye highly values the peace-oriented foreign policy pursued by brotherly Turkmenistan and its achievements in all spheres.

Stressing that today the Republic of Türkiye is one of Turkmenistan’s key trade and economic partners, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the existence of broad opportunities for the development of constructive cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, agriculture, and investment, both in bilateral and regional formats.

The interlocutors also discussed prospects for the steady expansion of cultural and humanitarian dialogue between the peoples of the two countries.
