Speaking at the Summit of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov placed particular emphasis on human development and strengthening social ties, emphasizing that youth and cultural exchange are the foundation of a long-term partnership.
The head of state noted that Turkmenistan demonstrates a strong interest in Japanese culture and science. Thousands of Turkmen schoolchildren and students are currently studying Japanese, creating a foundation for deep mutual understanding between the peoples.
"In this regard, to ensure contacts between youth, students, and academics, we are proposing the establishment of the "Central Asia–Japan" Youth Forum," the head of state said.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also noted that Central Asia is a region with a young population and vast intellectual potential, offering significant opportunities for cooperation in education, science, technology, and humanitarian exchanges. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan initiated the creation of a permanent mechanism for interaction between women in the region and Japan.
"We also propose the creation of a permanent platform, the 'Dialogue between Women of Central Asia and Japan,' whose main goal should be close cooperation between women in our countries across a wide range of areas," the President of Turkmenistan proposed.
