On January 9, at a government meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva reported on the prepared draft work plans for the supervised sectors for 2026.
As reported, it is planned to continue reforms aimed at educating a well-informed generation, improving curricula, enriching the content of textbooks, strengthening the material and technical base of the education system, introducing advanced methods for the prevention and treatment of diseases in medical and preventive institutions in accordance with the State Program “Saglyk,” as well as developing physical culture, sports, and the Olympic movement.
Measures are also envisaged to develop fundamental and applied sciences and innovative industry in the country, and to form a generation of specialists and scientists engaged in effective production and research activities that meet global standards, by attracting talented youth to high-technology sectors and science. In addition, activities are planned to promote national cultural heritage and the country’s achievements, and to enhance its international standing.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow approved the work plans for the fields of science, education, healthcare, sports, and public organizations for 2026, and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the relevant work.
