A People’s Pride: The Horse That Opens the Way Through the Generations

Jointly organized by the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding, a solemn meeting was held with members of the "Galkynyş" National Equestrian Games Group. The event was dedicated to the Resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan on declaring 2026 the year of “Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses”

According to the event plan, guests toured an exhibition held in the foyer of the "Oguz Han" Science and Technology Center. The exhibition featured:

• • The literary works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and Honorable President Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
  • The prestigious awards won by the "Galkynyş" National Equestrian Games Group.
  • Applied arts showcasing the beauty of the horse.
  • Scientific project work from the university’s research and production centers. The scientific projects drew particular attention, specifically those in the field of biotechnology using local raw materials, new types of materials in chemical technology, and modern possibilities in implementing digital services and Artificial Intelligence, as well as various software applications.

Subsequently, a video highlighting the achievements of the "Galkynyş" National Equestrian Games Group was shown in the assembly hall. The opening of the solemn  meeting was further enhanced by a literary-musical composition and songs praising our "heavenly" horses.

Members of the "Galkynyş" group delivered speeches, noting that the naming of 2026 as the year of “«Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses” is a source of great pride. They emphasized that this event signifies the high level of care given to horses in the country and will further increase global interest in the Akhal-Teke breed.

It is worth noting that the "Galkynyş" National Equestrian Games Group, established in 2007 with the blessing of the National Leader Hero Arkadag, has become a six-time world champion, garnering international acclaim. With the support of Hero Arkadag, the group has won top prizes at several prestigious international circus festivals:

• • 2013: Grand Prix at the “IDOL” World Festival of Circus Arts in Moscow, Russia.
  • 2014: Grand Prix at the XVI International Circus Festival in Latina, Italy.
  • 2015: Grand Prix at the II International Circus Arts Festival in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China.
  • 2016: Grand Prix at the II World Nomad Games in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic.
  • 2018: The "Golden Gaetano" statuette at the I International Circus Festival on Fontanka in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
  • 2025: The Golden Award at the 47th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo in the Principality of Monaco, competing against the world's most famous circus groups.

These international successes are a magnificent result of the work being carried out to develop circus arts in our country.

The event continued with songs and dances, lifting the festive spirit. The meeting concluded with words of gratitude to the National Leader Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who lead our country forward in all directions with the speed of a stallion.
