AN EVENT DEDICATED TO THE YEAR’S MOTTO

On January 13, a thematic event dedicated to the 2026 motto, “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” was held in the library of Secondary School No. 19 in Ashgabat. A discussion entitled “Gadamy batly bedew” (Swift step of race horse) and a book exhibition featuring the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, highlighted the cultural and historical significance of the Akhal-Teke horse. 

Participants discussed the symbolic meaning of the Year’s motto, in which the horse represents beauty, loyalty, and the dynamic development of the nation. Special attention was given to the image of the noble steed in classical and folk literature, including the poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy, Mataji, Seyitnazar Seydi, and the epic “Gorogly.”

During the event, students recited poems, shared proverbs, and expressed their views on the spiritual value of the horse in Turkmen cultural heritage. The meeting contributed to strengthening patriotic education and deepening understanding of the profound meaning of the 2026 Year’s motto.
