The embodiment of high goals

Every day of the revival of a new era for a powerful state is written in golden letters on the glorious pages of history. In our current glorious era, looking back on the past year, we see that great importance was attached to nurturing educated, patriotic generations and supporting the scientific initiatives of young people. Extensive work was done to widely engage our youth in sports and further enhance the international sporting prestige of our country. Members of our national teams in various sports have won hundreds of medals at international competitions. Athletes from our independent state, which enjoys permanent neutrality, won 977 medals at international competitions last year. Among them, student athletes from higher education institutions participated in 58 international sporting competitions and won 62 gold, 67 silver, and 75 bronze medals—a total of 204 medals. A total of 878 medals were won at national competitions held in our country. The victories of our athletes make Turkmenistan known to the international community as a developing sports center. Thus, the achievements of Turkmen athletes in major international competitions significantly enhance our country's prestige worldwide.

In the Year of International Peace and Trust, awarding Turkmen athletes who have won prizes at major international sporting competitions and the coaches who contributed to their victories is a high recognition of their creative work. We are proud that 14 representatives of our higher education institution received well-deserved awards. Furthermore, the outstanding achievements of the Arkadag football team, which includes our student-athletes, and the worthy contribution of our university representatives to organizing international wrestling and chess competitions for 8-, 10-, and 12-year-old athletes in our country have further enhanced our country's international prestige and recognition.

In the Year of International Peace and Trust, awarding Turkmen athletes who have won prizes at major international sporting competitions and the coaches who made a significant contribution to their success. Our university's faculty and students participated in a number of scientific and educational projects, training seminars, scientific and practical conferences, and digital networking events aimed at developing international cooperation in the scientific study of physical education and sports, as well as the implementation of innovative technologies. Last year, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and the Kazakh National Joint-Stock Company "Academy of Sports and Tourism." More than 50 of our faculty members advanced their qualifications in various fields, including at seminars held by international sports federations.

Our students won 16 prizes at international subject competitions held by higher education institutions in our country, 35 prizes at online and internet Olympiads held by higher education institutions in our country, and subject, talent, and project competitions. Our university has published 15 textbooks and one collection of materials from international scientific conferences. Turkmenistan, recognized as a country of health and spirituality, has extensive experience training highly qualified specialists, improving athletes' qualifications, and hosting regional and world-class competitions. Thanks to the consistent implementation of programs initiated by our Heroic Fatherland and successfully continued under the leadership of our Esteemed President, the national sports system will continue to improve by 2026.
