The gathering was dedicated to the first anniversary of the approval of the State Program for the Development of Turkmenistan’s Library System for 2025–2029, as well as to the Reading Month being observed at the university from January 11 to February 11. Speakers highlighted the role of books in shaping young people’s worldview, promoting science and education, and preserving national cultural values.
Special emphasis was placed on the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and the President of Turkmenistan, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, which reflect the country’s historical heritage, its peace-oriented foreign policy, and its sustainable socio-economic development.
As part of the event, a book exhibition was organized at the Faculty of Geography, featuring classical and modern Turkmen literature, academic publications by university staff, and student projects devoted to the nation’s history, culture, and achievements.
