Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding and the Qatar Equestrian Federation

Under the wise and visionary leadership of the Hero Arkadag and the Arkadagly Hero Serdar, Turkmenistan consistently strengthens its cooperation with nations worldwide across political, diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. A key priority of the state policy is the modernization of the education and science sectors, elevating the quality of youth education to international standards, and integrating advanced foreign expertise into the national educational system. Within the framework of these noble endeavors, modern opportunities are being created to enhance the global prestige of the "heavenly" Akhal-Teke horses—our national pride—to develop equestrian sports and national horse games on a scientific basis, and to train highly qualified horse breeders, trainers, and jockeys.

In alignment with these objectives, a historic step was taken to elevate the mutually beneficial partnership between the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding and the Qatar Equestrian Federation to a new level. During a working visit by the Rector and a delegation from the Academy to the State of Qatar from January 29 to 31, 2026, at the invitation of the country’s Equestrian Federation, a solemn ceremony was held for the signing of the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding and the Qatar Equestrian Federation." The document was signed on January 30, 2026, during a meeting attended by the President of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, Bader Mohammed Al Darwish; the Deputy Executive Director of the Emir of Qatar's "Al Shaqab" Equestrian Center, Khalid Abdullah Al-Hatmi; and the Rector of the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences and People's Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan, Pygy Bayramdurdyyevich Hojamuhammedov. This agreement further strengthens the legal framework for relations in the fields of science, education, innovation, and equestrian sports between the two countries.

This Memorandum will open new horizons for the exchange of experience and the training of modern personnel for the equine industry, providing a powerful impetus to the further development of friendly ties between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar. Participants of the meeting expressed their profound gratitude to the Hero Arkadag and the Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their exemplary work in developing equestrian sports and this noble industry, as well as for significantly enhancing the international stature of our Akhal-Teke horses.
