A cultural and educational event entitled “Our Sky Is Peaceful — Let the World Be Filled with Voices! May the Journey Continue with the Swift Gallop of the Steed” was held at Secondary School No. 82 in Ashgabat to mark the declaration of 2026 as the Year of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.”
The event took place in the school library and aimed to foster patriotism, diligence, and respect for national values among the younger generation. Special attention was given to the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, dedicated to the Akhal-Teke horse as a symbol of peace, progress, and cultural heritage.
Participants were introduced to the year’s motto and symbols, highlighting the meaningful representation of the Akhal-Teke horse, the carpet ornaments of the five regions, and the map of Turkmenistan. Students recited poems, legends, and stories praising the noble Turkmen steed, which made a strong impression on the audience.
As part of the programme, a drawing competition devoted to the Akhal-Teke horse was also held. Such events contribute to nurturing love for the Motherland, respect for cultural traditions, and the creative development of young people.
