From February 16 to 18, 2026, the High-Level Dialogue on Global Health Diplomacy took place at the Ýyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat, co-hosted by the Government of Turkmenistan and the World Health Organization (WHO), with the active participation of student activists from the YOUTH4HEALTH movement of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan. The international seminar brought together government officials, WHO representatives, CIS delegates, and health experts to focus on collective security, healthcare development, and experience sharing. Sessions addressed strategic cooperation in strengthening health systems, training medical specialists, and coordinating international responses to health challenges. This event forms part of WHO’s broader efforts to promote global health diplomacy and foster solidarity among participating nations. Participants underscored Ashgabat’s growing importance as a platform for dialogue on public health and sustainable development.
