During the Era of Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State, significant efforts are being made to ensure that young people receive a high-quality education, develop a broad outlook and contribute to the country’s progress. Particular attention is given to preserving the national publishing heritage, improving library activities and fostering students’ interest in reading.
On 18 February, Secondary School No. 82 in Ashgabat hosted a special ceremony introducing first-grade students to the school library titled “The Book — A Treasury of Knowledge.” The event aimed to nurture children’s love for books and reading. Pupils recited poems about their homeland, school and nature, showing enthusiasm and curiosity.
During the event, students listened to fairy tales and proverbs illustrating the value of books as a source of wisdom and personal development. The ceremony marked an important step in cultivating reading habits and intellectual curiosity among young learners.
