On February 25, 2026, with the support of the International Association of Universities of Physical Education and Sport, a scientific seminar on "Modern High-Performance Sport: Challenges and Future Opportunities" was held at the Kazakhstan Academy of Sports and Tourism. It was attended by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor V.N. Platonov, along with more than 270 teachers, coaches, and specialists from Kazakhstan, Central Asian countries, and Russia.
The seminar marked the beginning of a series of events that will be held monthly from February to May. The goal of the project is to strengthen scientific and practical cooperation and improve the training system for high-level athletes.
Twenty-two faculty members from the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sport actively participated in the project. Representatives of our higher education institution also participated in an international training conference on the VAR system in football and a training seminar on rhythmic gymnastics, both held in February 2026. Last year, 75 faculty members advanced their qualifications at seminars organized by international federations and scientific and educational centers.
