A creative meeting was held at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory on the occasion of Gurbannazar Ezizov's birthday. It brought together admirers of the poet's poetry.
Employees of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, as well as Bayram Gochmyradov, who previously worked as a teacher at the Faculty of Philology of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, were invited to the meeting with students.
Composer Danatar Hydyrow, a great fan of the famous poet's work, also attended the meeting.
On the occasion of the meeting, conservatory students—vocalist Sahy Allayarov and pianist Jemshit Akyyev—prepared a concert. Songs created by composer Danatar Hydyrow based on Gurbannazar Ezizov's poems were performed, including works such as "Mother's Lullaby in the Distant Steppe" and "I Listened to Others."
Discussing the poet's life and work, his most beloved poems such as "Serpay," "Mother," "To My Daughters," and "Motherland" were recited expressively. The history of the creation of these poems was linked to important events in the poet's life.
Then, during the organized discussion, students asked the guests questions of interest and received relevant answers.
It should be noted that the poet Gurbannazar Ezizov was born on March 1, 1940, in the village of Sowutli in the present-day Gokdepe etrap. Having passed away in 1975 at the age of 35, this famous poet is considered one of the "early rising stars" of modern Turkmen literature.
