Women, who represent the beauty of the world and the harmony of life, are held in high esteem in independent Turkmenistan. In the country, significant attention is paid at the state level to creating favourable conditions for women’s creative work, active participation in public life, family upbringing, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8, has become a cherished national tradition.
On the occasion of this holiday, a festive musical and literary event entitled “Women — the Beauty of the World” was held at the library of Secondary School No. 3 in the Bereket district of the Balkan region. A thematic book exhibition was organised as part of the celebration, featuring the work of Hero Arkadag “Worshiping Mother – Worshiping a Sacred Person.”
An exhibition of traditional handicrafts was also presented, highlighting the refined artistry of Turkmen women. During the event, students recited poems dedicated to mothers, spring, and the beauty of women, and performed songs that created a warm and festive atmosphere for the participants.
