On March 9, 2026, the opening ceremony of the second regional training for young diplomats and civil servants from Central Asian countries was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized by the Government of Turkmenistan with the support of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator, as well as the embassies of the Italian Republic and the Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Turkmenistan.
The training aims to strengthen interaction between young diplomats and civil servants from Central Asian countries, exchange experience and knowledge, and consolidate diplomatic efforts to address pressing regional issues.
The opening ceremony was attended by leadership and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads and staff of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, young diplomats and civil servants from Central Asian countries, and faculty and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The ceremony focused on the Turkmenistan-initiated Central Asian Youth Dialogue, which has already proven its effectiveness. In this regard, it was noted that the next meeting within this Dialogue will be held on the sidelines of the current training, which will further strengthen the bonds of friendship and partnership between the region's young leaders.
